Ideal Natural Dietary Supplements

Natural dietary supplements designed for optimizing weight loss may be beneficial for reducing appetite.  Any vitamin or mineral added during processing of fortifying foods can add nutritional value and sometimes provides specific nutrients to populations that are deficient in to help prevent disease. Bread and flour products are often enriched with iron and B vitamins riboflavin, thiamin, niacin, and citrus fruit beverages naturally containing vitamin C may be fortified with additional vitamin C to increase nutrition. Natural vitamins are derived from organic substances that are necessary in small quantities for normal health and growth development.  Vitamins are distinct in several ways from other biologically important compounds including carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. Daily dietary requirements are often lacking in nutrition and therefore must be obtained from supplements and improved diet to increase nutritional intake.

Weight gain happens when people consume more calories than the body burns off as fuel.  It can be influenced by many factors like poor dietary habits, eating foods high in calories, processed snacks and sugary beverages leading to extra weight gain.  Lack of exercise often leads to a sedentary lifestyle and not burning off enough calories during the day leads to obesity.  Some individuals have slower metabolisms meaning their bodies process food more slowly.  Hormonal imbalances can make weight management more difficult leaving many people frustrated with their health.  Poor sleep patterns affect hunger regulating hormones leaving appetite out of control leading to overeating.  Stress eating or emotional eating can lead to consuming too many calories causing the domino effect resulting in poor overall health.  In general natural vitamins function as a catalyst of regulatory nature facilitating the control of vital chemical reactions in the body's cells.

If a vitamin is absent or malabsorbed in the body a specific deficiency disease may develop.  The discovery of biological significance of natural vitamins and its designation revolutionized the understanding of nutrition and health.  Vitamins are usually designed by selected letters of the alphabet as in vitamin C or vitamin D and they are also designated by chemical names such as folic acid or niacin.  Biochemists traditionally separate them into two groups: fat soluble vitamins and water soluble vitamins. Fat soluble vitamins include vitamins A,D,E. and K which plays an integral role in a multitude of physiological processes such as bone, vision, health, and immune function.  Water soluble vitamins dissolve in water include B complex vitamins, and vitamin C which plays a crucial role in various bodily functions primarily acting as coenzyme reactions essential for energy production, metabolism, cell growth and other vital processes in the body including red blood cell formation, nerve health and immune function.  Some of the first evidence of vitamins emerged in the late 19th century with the work of Dutch physician and pathologist Christian Eijman.  In 1890 a nerve disease polyneuritis broke out among his laboratory chickens.  He noticed the disease was similar to the polyneuritis associated with the nutritional disorder beriberi.  In 1897 he demonstrated that polyneuritis was caused by feeding the chickens of polished white rice but it disappeared when the animals were fed unpolished rice.  In 1906 British biochemist Sir Frederick  Gowland Hopkins observed that the animals could not synthesize certain amino acids and then concluded macronutrients and salts could not themselves support growth.  In 1912 of the same year Hopkins published his findings about missing nutrients which he described as “accessory” factors or substances,

Weight loss supplements enhance health benefits improving stamina and overall energy. The history of vitamins dates back to the early 20th century when scientists began to discover essential compounds for health.  The discovery of vitamins continued with all vitamins identified between 1913 to 1948 introducing commercially produced vitamin supplements. The significance of vitamins in nutrition was further emphasized in the 19th century leading to a better understanding of dietary needs.  Yogi Green Tea Slim Life Tea formulated blend supports stamina, energy, for an active lifestyle.  This organic tea includes green tea, blueberries, Garcinia Cambogia, fruit extract, with Panax Ginseng Root, and Eleuthero Root to support stamina.  Using the highest qualities of  spices and botanicals complementing them with delightful flavors make all of their teas unequally Yogi.  While teas have health benefits they are generally not classified as dietary supplements.  Natural supplements are typically available in pills, powders or capsules and are regulated as products that provide specific nutrients or compounds.
