Cinnamon Apple Bake
Apples are both nutritious and delicious eaten raw or baked into a pie, used in drinks, sauces or baked. Try this healthy recipe at your next holiday gathering for dessert or as a special treat during the week.
Ingredients
4 pounds of Granny Smith apples skinned, cored and diced.
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of almond oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts if desired
1/2 cup Splenda brown sweetener
Instructions
1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2.) In a 2-quart casserole dish add rolled oats, salt, Splenda brown sweeter, cinnamon, walnuts, almond oil, and combine to mix well
3.) Add the diced apples to the mixture. Coat the apples evenly.
4.) Bake 40-45 minutes uncovered in the oven
Serve with a dollop of plain yogurt sprinkle top of the desert with cinnamon.
