Drinking Water Benefits Total Body Health Physical Performance

Drinking water can benefit personal health by increasing hydration to the entire body. It has a major effect on brain function and physical performance while regulating the bodies temperature through sweating.  The human body consists of 55% to 75% water depending on body size.  Water is essential to maintaining balanced health to boost metabolism, flush out toxins and unwanted body fat.  

Research suggests replacing sweetened beverages with pure filtered water can decrease appetite and may help reduce the risk of diabetes and obesity.  Maintain a good internal environment in the body to replace lost electrolytes minerals in your body that help regulate the amount of water in the body.  Electrolytes are plentiful in your tissues, blood urine, and other bodily fluids must be replenished with fluids.   Drinking water enhanced with electrolytes including sodium, potassium, and magnesium are especially beneficial for replacing fluids in the body increasing physical performance. According to the National Libary of medicine calories from beverages has increased over the years due to added sugars, sweeteners substantially from 1965 to 2002 as an upward trend in nutrient deficient beverages consumed by the public reflecting an increase in adults drinking alcohol beverages, soda, and diet beverages.  Indicators that poor beverage pattering may cause health complications leading to obesity and other complications are considered public health concerns. Pure Water is essential for maintaining good health detoxifying waste and toxins from the body while hydrating the skin from the inside out.  The United States recommendations for water consumption is to drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water throughout the day which is equal to one half of a gallon or 2 letters to maintain health.  

Heath authorities may express a difference of opinion on the issue, however, basic guidelines exist as a guide.

Drinking water is beneficial for boosting metabolism and may contribute to successful weight loss.  Suppress the appetite naturally drinking water with the juice of one freshly squeezed lemon in the morning before eating breakfast.  Manage weight drinking sufficient amounts of water throughout the day. 

Drinking purified or carbonated water is the best way to replace fluids throughout the day keeping the body well hydrated. Consuming natural fruit flavored water filter of distilled water, vegetable juices or unsweetened fruit juice, tea, black coffee or seltzer water are good beverage alternatives to replenish fluids.  

Eliminating sugar additives from any beverage will promote weight loss by reducing total calorie consumption.  Drinks loaded with sugars counterproductive leading to an increased thirst for liquids and fattening foods should be avoided if you are trying to lose weight.  Aim for purified unsweetened beverages to promote good health while losing fat.
