Home & Garden Ideas
Home & garden learn your gardening environment to coexist with nature and small animals who live among us.  The presence of small mammals is an indicator of a healthy ecosystem consisting of native plants including the animal population all interacting in balance. Bees are powerful pollinators as they collect nectar for their hives. Bees travel among plant species spreading pollen that collects on their legs.

As the bees fly between each flow pollen is left behind from the bee from each flower they visit, pollen is left behind pollinating the next flower that will develop new seeds for future growth. Bees including honey bees are essential for the food chain because they pollinate food crops that produce fruit, vegetables, seeds, and honey for the population to consume.

The beauty of Pollination filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg elegantly captured nature typically unseen by the naked eye depicting images in their rawest form presented in moving art.  It is the miracle of pollination vital to the reproduction of nature often taken for granted failing to appreciate the delicate balance of sustaining life on this planet.

We really take time to notice our environmental ecosystems impacted as a large community of organisms such as plants, animals linked together with the flow of energy cycles. Unique montage of images showcases nature's pollinators in phenomenal high speed imagery revealing nature's beauty in it’s finest moments through pollination, a fascinating dance between flowers and pollinators.

Small furry animals often seek refuge in many home & garden spaces seen as indicators of a healthy ecosystem. Chipmunks are especially fun to observe in any garden area also known to dig up and eat small flowering bulbs and burrow in flower beds under sidewalks and purchases. A good way to protect planted bulbs is to cover the area with chicken wire or plastic garden netting to prevent small animals from digging in that area.

Chipmunks are ground feeders preferring to find the day's offerings on the ground among plant materials. Encourage small animals to eat in feeders designed for a designated space in your home & garden to create a safe place for birds and small animals to eat.  Chipmunks enjoy unsalted sunflower seeds and raw peanuts however you may want to limit the amount you feed them as nuts and seeds are high in calories that may lead to overindulging.

Squirrel feeders are excellent seed dispensers for woodland creatures and provide a delicious snack for local animals viewed as enjoyable for any home decor. Bird feeders help you experience nature in its finest moments watching them flock in droves ascending to feed.  It’s not only ok to feed wild birds wild bird seed mix it is good for them.  The extra boost in calories and nutrition they get from bird feeders helps them gain strength during migration during the winter months.

Simplistic gardening ideas thrive successfully in your home & garden space cultivating plants used in landscaping or consumed for food.  Extend your growing season knowing your garden's microclimate using a compass or map to determine the orientation of the growing area to the daily sun exposure. Notice how many hours of sunlight your garden receives during the day.

The more sunlight the garden receives during the growing season the more likely it will support developed plants, fruits and vegetables. As the temperature changes in many climates going from hot sunny days to cooler weather in the fall and winter, the growing season will lessen then cease to exist. Grow cool tolerant crops including leafy greens, broccoli, kayle, and carrots using frost covers, cold frames, or poly covers for your garden.

Getting all your crops established before the weather freezes may provide any home & garden an ample supply of nourishment. Small walk-in greenhouses are available in different styles made for various materials to select from. The Outsunny measures 6’Lx6’W in dementations sold as a walking outdoor greenhouse with an adjustable roof of the plant nursery that can be positioned to different angles for proper ventilation ensuring the plants get all the fresh air they need to grow in your home & garden.

 Cheers!
